Emergency kit for 2 people
Two adults under one roof need a bit more than twice what one person needs - but not everything has to be doubled. The kit follows the authorities' recommendation that a household can manage on its own for at least three days.

What you need to add yourself
We don't sell these, but they belong in a home readiness kit:

Who is it for?
Couples, partners and flatmates - two adults in a flat or a house. It also works as a starting point if you are two day to day and sometimes have guests. If you are more, adjust the household in the calculator and the kit grows with you.
What's inside?
You share one emergency radio and one LED lantern for the living room, but each of you gets your own headlamp so you can move around in the dark separately. One power bank covers two phones, and the first aid kit covers you both.
For two people over three days we plan on 18 litres of drinking water - three litres per person per day - in collapsible carriers that take up almost no space until filled. For warmth you each get an emergency sleeping bag and hand warmers, plus a pack of emergency blankets to share.
Good to know when you are two
Agree who does what before it matters: who checks the radio, who fills the water carriers and where the kit is kept. Store it in one fixed place you both know, and charge the power bank and lantern once a year. If one of you is often away, it is a good idea that you both know how the radio and lamps work, so nobody is left alone with it.
What you add yourselves
Food for three days that keeps without a fridge, your personal medication and some cash. If you already have a radio, a first aid kit or a power bank, tick it - we take it out and the price comes down with it.
