Værklar (CVR 46252101) is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your data. You are always welcome to contact us at kontakt@vaerklar.dk.
We collect name, email, address and phone number when you create an account or place an order. We also store order history and payment information (via Stripe; we do not store card details directly).
We use your data to process and deliver orders, manage your account, send order and delivery updates, and improve our service. The legal basis is performance of the purchase agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), our legal obligations such as bookkeeping (art. 6(1)(c)), your consent for e.g. newsletters and analytics (art. 6(1)(a)), and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the shop (art. 6(1)(f)).
If you join the waitlist, we store your email, your first name (if you give it), which product, bundle or household composition (number of adults, teens, children, babies and pets) you signed up from, the page and campaign codes (UTM) you came from, the country your connection came from (only the country code, not your IP address), and the consent text you agreed to, with a timestamp. We use this to confirm your signup, tell you about the launch and early-bird offers, tailor the launch email to your household and understand which bundles are in demand, and whether that demand is in Denmark, where we deliver. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a) and section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act). You are only on the list once you have confirmed via the link in the email we send you. When you confirm, you get a number on the waitlist that sets your early-customer discount, and when we open we store the personal discount code we send you. If you built a kit, you get a private link so you can change it without entering your email again. If you say yes to the reminder to check your readiness, we email you every six months; you can stop it via the link in every email without leaving the waitlist.
If you haven't confirmed your signup after a few days, we send you one reminder. If you don't confirm your signup, we delete it after 30 days. Confirmed signups are kept until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, we stop all emails immediately and keep only your email and consent as documentation for 2 years, after which they are deleted. If an email to you can't be delivered, or you mark it as spam, we note your address so we don't email it again. That note is deleted after 2 years. You can always unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of every email, and you can have your data deleted straight away by writing to kontakt@vaerklar.dk.
We keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for. Data relating to a purchase is kept for up to 5 years after the end of the financial year the purchase relates to, in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Account data is kept until you delete your account, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. If you sign up for the newsletter at the bottom of the page, we store your email and the consent text you agreed to; you are only subscribed once you confirm via the link in the email we send, and unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days.
We share necessary data with our data processors: Stripe (payments), GLS/Shipmondo (shipping), Resend (emails) and Supabase (database). Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; when they do, we ensure a valid transfer basis, e.g. the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC). We never sell your data to third parties.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data. You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Contact us at kontakt@vaerklar.dk to exercise your rights.
If you are dissatisfied with how we process your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.
